Culture and History

The Aqüeducte de Santa Bàrbara is 260 metres long and overcomes a three-metre difference in elevation for irrigation; it is comprehensively protected.

One building is now known as Hort de Manus; its origins date back to the beginning of the 17th century.

The Temple Sant Andreu Apòstol is an 18th-century church. Because of its large dimensions, it bears the nickname “la Catedral de la Ribera”. Its foundation stone was laid on 30 November 1746.

The Museu de la Música is located in the restored Casa de la Solera, a former manor house typical of the 18th century. It features a permanent exhibition of musical instruments donated by the master Manuel Celdrán.

The Museu Etnològic de l'Alcúdia is also located in the Casa de la Solera and documents part of L'Alcúdia's more recent collective history. It displays agricultural tools arranged according to manual labour and animal traction.

The Volta a Tous begins in L'Alcúdia and is 51.72 kilometres long. Along this route, it offers views of part of the mountains with significant natural heritage.

The Volta a la Ribera del Xúquer also passes through L'Alcúdia. This 107.9-kilometre circular route connects the coast and inland areas and provides opportunities to visit cultural heritage sites.
