Nature and landscape

The Font Lluny recreational area is located about 500 metres from the centre of La Pobla de Benifassà. It has a natural spring, tables and barbecue facilities.

The Tinença de Benifassà Nature Park is home, among others, to Iberian ibex, roe deer, wild boar, vultures, Bonelli’s eagles and booted eagles.

The Cova dels Rossegadors, also known as Cueva del Polvorín, is located at the Ulldecona Reservoir in the heart of the Tinença de Benifassà Nature Park. Prior reservation is required to visit the rock paintings in the Cova dels Rossegadors.

The Monasterio de Santa María, also known as Cartuja de Santa María, is located about 7 km from La Pobla de Benifassà. It was founded by Jaime I in the 13th century and built in the Gothic-Cistercian style.

The open-air museum Jardí de Peter is located shortly before La Pobla de Benifassà and displays imaginary sculptures created by the artist Peter Buch.
