Landscape and trails

The PR-CV 450 “Barrancos de San Antón y del Grifo” hiking route uses the Camí de Salades to return to the starting point at the Barranc de Sant Antó. The historic channel system of the Barranc del Grifo began at the point where the barranc crossed the Camí de Monfort a Salades. In several places, it was fed by runoff from the southeastern edge of the Serra Grossa. The aqueduct crossing the Camí de Monfort a Santa Pola formed part of this channel system.

The road names are also part of this network: near the Torrellano cemetery, the Camí de Santa Ana is also known as the Camí de Les Salades. The PR-CV 450 route, the Barranc del Grifo, the crossings of the Camí roads and the waterworks sites can therefore be considered distinct components of the landscape. This name variant further complements the local connections within the described road network.
