Culture
The present-day Ermita Santísima Cruz is the third building to have been erected on the same site and dates from 1971. As a religious place of veneration, it was renovated in 1996 and preserves a fragmentary relic of the Holy Cross. The Museo Etnográfico La Santísima Cruz is intended for visits by school groups and people interested in ethnography.
Another prominent cultural site is the Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol. It is distinguished by its central dome and former altarpiece paintings, which are now displayed as individual paintings in various places inside the church. The first foundation stone was laid on 29 August 1748; construction was completed on 28 July 1775, and the church was consecrated on that day.
Traditions
The Auroros of the Virgen del Rosario maintain a nighttime singing tradition with rounds on the four Sundays in October in Granja de Rocamora. The Fiestas Mayores de la Santísima Cruz take place from 30 April to 3 May and include the veneration of a Lignum Crucis relic. On 3 May, this relic is carried in procession to the Ermita de la Santa Cruz, where the “Bendición de los Aires” takes place.
For Holy Week, Granja de Rocamora records a performance of the “Sermón de las 7 Palabras” by local residents in cooperation with the church. The Romería de las Fiestas de la Exaltación de la Santísima Cruz leads from the Ermita Santísima Cruz to the Granja Escuela “La Viña”, where a communal day of honour is held in honour of the Holy Cross.
Nature
The Itinerario de los Cabezos offers outdoor environmental activities, hiking, routes and community excursions in the countryside, as well as landscape experiences and access to the Cabezos, Granja de Rocamora’s historic cultural heritage. The route “La Huerta de la Vega” passes traditional irrigation facilities in the Vega Baja, including norias, acequias and azarbes.
“La Huerta de la Vega” begins at the Ermita de la Santísima Cruz in Granja de Rocamora and passes by the Iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol. At the CV-900, it connects with the cycle path and continues into the Huerta of the Vega Baja del Segura. The different focal points – religious connections, irrigation culture, landscape and historic cultural heritage – can be compared when planning.
The Torre Mora is located approximately 200 metres from the town on the road towards San Isidro de Albatera. Outside Granja de Rocamora, the Granja Escuela “La Viña” is situated in a Huerta landscape and welcomes school groups for educational and environmental activities.

Local Cuisine
The local dish “Arroz a la Granjera” consists of rice, broad beans, artichokes and anchovies. Traditional desserts in the local cuisine include Tortas de calabaza, Tortas “escaldadas” and “Orejetas”.
