The Parque Agrario de Fuenlabrada works to preserve and strengthen peri-urban agriculture and its agricultural landscape.
If you are looking for a holiday apartment in Fuenlabrada, you can first choose between nature, art, history, family activities, culinary experiences and events as your personal areas of focus. On the respective offer pages, you can compare travel dates, accommodation category and cancellation conditions; these details provide a clear structure for the next planning step.
Nature
The Parque Agrario includes an extensive network of paths and drove roads where you can experience nature and the peri-urban agricultural landscape. One route running through the area is five kilometres long, takes approximately 60 minutes on foot and is easy. The information on the network of paths, length and walking time allows you to compare different types of excursions directly.
Culture
The Museo de Arte Urbano de Fuenlabrada (MAUF) is an open-air museum that uses building facades as spaces for urban art. The MAUF comprises more than thirty murals distributed throughout Fuenlabrada. On the last Sunday of each month, the city council organises 90-minute guided tours of the MAUF collection.
The Fuente de los Cuatro Caños is included in Fuenlabrada’s catalogue of protected assets. The Iglesia de San Esteban is listed as a BIC monument whose designation procedure has been initiated; the protection procedure was initiated on 5 April 1983. The church contains an 18th-century Churrigueresque altarpiece.
The traditional procession of the Santísimo Cristo de la Misericordia takes place every year, starts at the Iglesia de San Esteban Protomártir and is free to attend.
Leisure
The Centro Municipal La Pollina is an almost three-hectare municipal green and leisure facility for the entire population, especially children and young people, where environmental, educational, leisure and recreational activities take place. The centre has a multi-adventure park with a zip line, climbing wall and hammocks between trees.
The Centro de Arte Tomás y Valiente (CEART) offers a free family activity on the second Sunday of each month. It begins with a guided tour of the main exhibition and allows participants to engage in artistic activities themselves.
You can compare the offers described side by side by activity type and timing: the nature route, art tour, creative family activity, active park features, and evening and exhibition formats suit different ideas for the day.
Culinary experiences
“Cómete Fuenlabrada” uses mobile public locations in the city as sales points for freshly harvested local vegetables. These include Swiss chard, cauliflower, potatoes and celery.
Other places
In addition, links lead to other places on the same destination level: Majadahonda, Griñón, Casarrubuelos, Valdemaqueda, Garganta De Los Montes, Santo Domingo, Alpedrete and Aldea Del Fresno.
Events
The XXVIII Encuentro Nacional de Modelismo Naval included a nighttime exhibition of illuminated models on the water. The 2023 edition of “Los Veranos de la Pollina” was a cultural leisure programme featuring family performances as well as evening concerts, monologues and tribute acts for adults.
