Nature

The Río Salado originates in Villarrín de Campos through the drainage of the lagoons. It crosses the municipal golf course for almost one kilometre. The first documentary record of Villarrín de Campos dates from 15 April 1157. In the regional surroundings of Villarrín de Campos, the Romería a la Virgen del Templo takes place on 8 May, proceeding barefoot as a penitential pilgrimage to the hermitage in Pajares de la Lampreana. El Cristo is considered the main festival of Villarrín de Campos; on the last Sunday in September, a sung Mass and a procession are part of the celebrations.

Golf

Villarrín de Campos has a municipal nine-hole golf course on a 24-hectare natural meadow within the Lagunas de Villafáfila Nature Reserve. The municipal golf course also has a practice area, a putting green and a pitch-and-putt area. The number of holes, practice areas, nature observation and scheduled dates offer you different criteria for personal planning.
