Culture and History

The Church of San Martín in Isar is a single-nave Gothic church from the 13th century with two side chapels.

The church preserves a Romanesque-Gothic portal from the 13th century. Four pointed archivolts are decorated with diamond-point motifs; carved capitals depict acanthus leaves, human figures and fantastic creatures.

San Martín also preserves a Romanesque crucifix from the 12th century.

The Church of Santa María is Romanesque-Gothic and has a rectangular nave, a choir with a Torceletes vault and a rectangular apse.

At the end of the 12th or beginning of the 13th century, it was built as a rural Romanesque church with a single nave, a flat-ended choir and a tower at the western end.

The Torreón de Isar has a rectangular floor plan. Its walls are almost two metres thick and reach a height of four metres; it consists of rubble masonry reinforced with dressed stone at the corners.
