Culture and History

One of the notable buildings is the Iglesia de Santa María, a Renaissance church from the 16th century. The Ermita de Belén is the surviving building of Belorado's former pilgrim hospitals. The Convento de Santa María de Bretonera is a cloistered convent founded in the 11th century and run by Poor Clare nuns.
