Coto do Castro de Antelo is a preserved archaeological site from the Castro Culture located in Artes.

The Carballo de Santo Antón tree is named after Saint Antón. The chapel of the Pazo de Vilar de Francos is dedicated to this saint. The tree's name and the chapel of the Pazo are therefore linked by a common religious reference.

History

The Pazo de As Pallas is a manor house with predominantly Baroque design. The manor house dates from the 17th century. In 1600, the Pardiñas Villardefrancos y Becerra family founded the Pazo de As Pallas. The Pazo formerly belonged to the Bermúdez de Castro family. Its foundation in 1600 and its former belonging to the Bermúdez de Castro family are therefore part of its recorded history.

The Pazo de Vilardefrancos was built by the Pardiñas Vilardefrancos family. It dates mostly from the 18th century. It includes a central tower. This dates back to the time of Charles V. The Pazo thus brings together the building work commissioned by the Pardiñas Vilardefrancos family, the fabric dating predominantly from the 18th century and the tower's older historical connection.
