La Molina: Skiing History, Slopes and Mountain Panorama

La Molina was founded in 1943 and is one of Spain’s oldest ski resorts. In 1943, the Fontcanaleta ski lift was part of the pioneering history of mechanical uphill transport in La Molina.

This early development is one of the area’s historic features: the history of the ski resort is linked to the use of mechanical uphill transport, while today’s offerings showcase the various forms of winter sports.

Winter sports

La Molina has 71 km of ski slopes and 66 runs for all levels. La Molina Bike Park comprises eight downhill trails, a cross-country trail and a Wood Park. The Centre d'Esport Adaptat in La Molina offers ski, snowboard and adapted sports courses led by specialised instructors.

The Cadí-Moixeró cable car reaches Tosa d’Alp at an altitude of more than 2,500 metres. From there, it offers views of Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and the Cerdanya Valley. Guided tours at Tosa d’Alp by cable car include two panoramic routes leading into Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. Meals featuring mountain cuisine are offered at the summit of Tosa d’Alp; the summit is accessible by cable car.

Tosa d’Alp brings together several landscape and visitor highlights in one place: the cable car ascends to more than 2,500 metres, and the views extend to Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and the Cerdanya Valley. There are also two guided panoramic routes into the natural park. At the summit, meals featuring mountain cuisine complement the visit; the summit is accessible by cable car.
