Nature and Trails

The municipality of Camprodon is home to more than fifteen springs associated with the confluence of the Ter and Ritort rivers. These springs are distributed both within and outside the town centre. Verses by Joan Maragall can be read at the Fuente de Sant Patllari. The spring is also connected with the legend of Camprodon’s patron saint.

The springs therefore connect two different spatial contexts: some are located within the town centre, while others are outside it, with the confluence of the Ter and Ritort rivers providing the shared geographical context. The Ruta de Camprodon al Santuari del Remei passes through riparian woodland. It then continues through pastureland before reaching a natural viewpoint. The Santuari del Remei is located at this viewpoint. Sant Antoni and Sant Antoni Vell are peaks in the vicinity of Camprodon. Mirador de Sant Antoni and Turó dels Pelats are also peaks in the vicinity of Camprodon.

The route follows a clear sequence of different landscape features: riparian woodland is followed by pastureland, then by the natural viewpoint with the Santuari del Remei. The four named peaks complement these landscape features with additional landmarks in the vicinity of Camprodon.

Culture

Getting There

From Barcelona, Camprodon can be reached by taking Renfe line R3 to Ripoll. From there, continue by bus to Camprodon.

The connection from Barcelona to Camprodon therefore consists of two consecutive sections: first, Renfe line R3 goes to Ripoll, after which the journey continues by bus to Camprodon.

Mountain Cuisine
