The Ermita de San Lorenzo in the Arguayoda Valley was founded around 1502. On the descent from the Cueva de Las Palomas to a hamlet, you will find the Ermita de San Lorenzo; it serves as a viewpoint over the Barranco de Erque and the nearby fortress.

The Centro de Interpretación del Queso y el Pastoreo focuses on La Gomera’s cheese-making and pastoral tradition. Visitors learn how cheese was made there and how livestock farming shaped the area. The Fiesta de San Isidro, held in honor of San Isidro Labrador, is a deeply rooted tradition in Alajeró. It takes place on Montaña de Tagaragunche, also known as El Calvario, and includes a mass, a procession with chácaras and drums, as well as a musical dance event.

Nature
