El Carmen – rural paths and culture

A concise cultural reference point in the area is the Cueva de Les Pedroses in El Carmen/El Carme. It is designated as an Asset of Cultural Interest. The cave is part of the El Cierro-Les Pedroses karst system in the Fresnu limestone massif. Three red, headless deer depictions have been preserved in the Cueva de Les Pedroses. The Museo del Territorio de Ribadesella is located in a former school building from 1900 of Indian origin.
