Elviria: Beach, Adventure, Golf and History
Elviria brings together the coast, active experiences, golf, art, military history and local produce in a diverse local setting. The differences lie not only in the themes, but also in their specific forms: courses, fairways, beach, sculpture, watchtower and market each add their own distinctive touch.
Adventure and Golf
Aventura Amazonia Marbella adventure park is located in Elviria and offers zip lines and suspension bridges; the address is C/ Valeriano Rodríguez 2, 29603 Elviria – Marbella. The park has 103 challenges and 24 zip lines spread across six adventure courses: MiniKids, Kids, Explorer, Jungle, Adventure and Sports. There are also three beginner courses. An admission ticket allows three hours of use of the multi-adventure courses.
The different course names and the three-hour usage period are two clear points of comparison for assessing an active visit.
Greenlife Golf is located in the Elviria Hills and is a 9-hole par-3 golf course measuring 1,142 metres. Water comes into play on holes 1, 2, 5 and 9; lush vegetation with palm trees and oaks characterises the course.
Santa Maria Golf & Country Club welcomes both members and visitors to its facilities. Its course has 18 holes and offers views of the Mediterranean. The clubhouse is an impressive 19th-century cortijo with distinctive Andalusian architecture, surrounded by extensive gardens.
The number of holes, par-3 classification, length, water and sea views make the two facilities easy to distinguish; these details help compare different golf profiles.
Coast
Playa Las Chapas (Elviria) has soft sand that is suitable for walking barefoot. It is easy to reach on foot and by car.
Sand quality and accessibility provide an independent point of comparison alongside the courses and golf when planning a day out.
When comparing holiday apartments in Elviria, you can review travel dates, room category and cancellation policies side by side on the accommodation pages. The thematic range extends from the coast and activities to golf, history and local produce, each in different forms.
Culture and History
At the entrance to Elviria stands Girouette, an approximately 12-metre-high steel sculpture ensemble from 1963, created by Phillippe Hiquily (1925–2013) and consisting of three moving parts.
The Torre Lance de las Cañas was built in the second half of the 18th century and emerged from the development of the watchtowers and the coastal defence system. It is the only tower of this type in Marbella; its ground plan resembles a horseshoe.
Other local destinations in the selection include San Pedro De Alcántara, Urbanización Nueva Andalucía, Puerto Banus, Las Chapas and Artola.
Local Produce
The Mercadillo Ecológico in the Pinar de Elviria is a mobile organic market run by the Asociación Guadalhorce Ecológico, offering certified organic products. Local and seasonal freshly harvested produce is also offered there.
