Radeče offers a diverse gateway to nature, water, history and regional tradition. The town becomes tangible through specific facilities, trails, river activities and cultural destinations. Independent sightseeing stands alongside seasonal activities, an educational trail, an outdoor swimming pool and places where history or cuisine take centre stage.

Nature and water

At Dvor Park, historical origins and natural character come together: the site is designated as a natural attraction and was created in the second half of the 19th century. A network of paths and trails in the park leads to the Sava. Dvor Park can be visited independently. Groups in particular must register their visit in advance with Prevzgojni dom Radeče, as freedom of movement there is restricted.

Raft trips on the Sava are available by prior registration from April to October. The seasonal limitation and registration are integral parts of this offering. Bazen Radeče outdoor swimming pool has heated water and measures 25 × 10 m. Both water-based destinations are therefore defined by clearly stated conditions.

The Savus educational trail offers a different focus. It is an easy, flat, 5 km educational circular route that combines the presentation of natural and cultural heritage. The character, length and educational purpose of the route form a single description here.

Visits and discoveries

In the municipality of Radeče, a visit also takes you to the Stara šola centre. Visiting this centre requires prior registration with KTRC Radeče. With the help of a film, visitors can experience natural assets virtually and learn about the rich history of this area. The presentation of nature and the experience of history appear here in two clearly defined forms.

TIC Savus provides information about the natural and cultural attractions of the municipality of Radeče, as well as rafting on the Sava. Its subject area therefore covers both the municipality’s landscape and cultural heritage and the activity on the river.

Culture and history

The history of the town is also linked to individual names and buildings. Dvorec Turn in Radeče is now a heritage-protected residential building. The Plečnik NOB Monument in Radeče commemorates 101 fighters who fell in the national liberation struggle. The two sites represent different historical connections within Radeče.

Culinary traditions

In the municipality of Radeče, the Ostrovrharjeve gospodinje offer a culinary and ethnographic experience with a medieval influence and homemade specialities prepared according to traditional recipes. Culinary heritage and ethnographic connections are combined in this offering.
