Veselé is located at the transition from the northeastern edge of the Trnava Hilly Region to the Považie Foothills of the Danubian Lowland. The village lies on a terrace on the right bank of the Dudváh and has partly preserved its agricultural character to this day. In Piešťany District, Road II/504 runs through Veľké Kostoľany, Dubovany, Veselé, Rakovice, Borovce, Trebatice and Krakovany.

Culture and history
The garden of the rectory contains Baroque stone statues of Saint Florian and Saint Wendelin from the 18th century. The Škublič family chapel is dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross; Masses are occasionally held there.
The Baroque Church of Saint Bartholomew in Veselé was built from 1736 to 1743 on the site of an older sacred building. It was restored in 1925 and expanded into a three-nave church by adding two side aisles.
The listed folk house at Veselé 93 is the single-storey birthplace of Bishop Štefan Moyses and was built in the second half of the 18th century. Štefan Moyses was born in Veselé in 1797 and became chairman of Matica slovenská on 3 August 1863.
At the Hradisko-Podzámske site in Veselé, settlement traces were concentrated within an Early Bronze Age fortification. An archaeological investigation at the Hradisko site confirmed the existence of a medieval castle complex dating from the 11th to the 15th century.
The castles of Kaštieľ Chtelnica, Kaštieľ Moravany and Kaštieľ Horné Trhovište are located in the vicinity of Veselé. Dobrá Voda is a castle in the wider regional surroundings of Veselé.
Basket weaving was a sideline in Veselé.
Festivals and local life
The Veselské hody are held in 2024 and 2025 as a recurring local celebration of the feast of Saint Bartholomew, the patron saint of the parish church and the parish. Their programme combines food and barbecuing with dance music, family activities and football. The programme of the Veselské hody 2024 took place at the Veselé football stadium, at the U Kováča pizzeria and in the village centre.
The Veselská guláš párty is an event for cooking goulash; the 16th edition is announced for 11 July 2026.
The RC Klub Veselé builds remote-controlled aircraft models and meets at suitable sites in the vicinity of the municipality, where its models can often be seen.
