The Kúpalisko EVA thermal bathing complex is located on Spa Island. The spa park on Spa Island is part of Piešťany’s protected heritage zone.
Culture and history
The leaning bell tower of Vrbové is presented as a sight and is one reason why Vrbové is called the “Slovak Pisa”. The Vrbové synagogue was built in the Moorish style in 1882–1883.
Dom umenia Piešťany has been a national cultural monument since 2022. It is one of the most important co-organisers of the international Piešťany Festival, which has taken place annually during the summer months since 1955. During the season, Dom umenia Piešťany hosts concerts; the Rieger-Kloss organ in Dom umenia Piešťany is regularly used for organ concerts.
An ethnographic exhibition includes traditional costumes from Piešťany and Krakovany, as well as embroidery and textiles typical of the region. Tradičné umelecké remeslá is an annual event in Piešťany that presents folk art, traditional techniques and cultural heritage.
Kostolec preserves the foundations of a partially reconstructed Great Moravian manor house and a pre-Romanesque rotunda.
