Holidaypark Kováčová has various hydromassage features and a 60-metre indoor water slide with a measuring device as well as light and sound effects. Aqua aerobics, aqua dance, exercises with a physiotherapist and baby swimming are regularly offered there.

Nature

The surroundings of Kováčová are suitable for walks and hikes in nature. Varied terrain and numerous marked cycle paths are available both to recreational cyclists and more ambitious athletes; the area is also suitable for horse riding.

The protected trees Duby v Kováčovej are two mighty pedunculate oaks (Quercus robur) and remnants of the original forest. They are located west of the centre of Kováčová in the holiday cottage area B on the southeastern foothills of the Kremnické pohorie. They were placed under protection in 1987, and their age is estimated at more than 200 years.

The Duby v Kováčovej educational trail can be reached by bus to the Kováčová, obecný úrad stop and then on foot for 1.3 kilometres, with an elevation gain of 73 metres, westwards into the holiday cottage area.

Culture

The memorial house with a memorial plaque at 59 Kúpeľná Street is protected as a national cultural monument and is identified with the Detvan spa building. The Kováčová Tourist Club offers educational excursions to less-visited places in the surrounding area, particularly local protected areas, cultural and historical monuments, and natural features.
