The district’s history, religious traditions, and archaeology in the surrounding area offer different ways to explore Kondratovo. The Museum of the History of Perm District, the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow,” and an annual religious procession give the cultural side of the place a tangible shape. When looking for a holiday apartment in Kondratovo, it helps to decide what you want to focus on during your trip: would you primarily like to discover these local themes, or also visit independent destinations in Perm Krai?

Museum history and hands-on activities

The museum’s first hall presents the history of the district up to 1941. Its exhibits include archaeological objects and a recreation of the interior of a Russian-Tatar izba. Finds and reconstructed domestic furnishings are displayed side by side, offering different ways to explore the district’s history.

Workshops and game programs are held on the museum grounds. They include the live quest game “Peasant House”: participants take on a male or female role and prepare dinner while immersing themselves in 19th-century peasant life. Alongside historical exhibits, the game offers a hands-on task and role-play. If you want to include a particular program in your plans, it is best to check the dates in advance.

Church and religious tradition

The Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in Kondratovo was founded in 1998. Since 2010, a religious procession has been held annually from the church to the Chapel of Saint Spyridon of Trimythous. The church and chapel thus serve as the starting point and destination of a recurring local tradition. If you want to include the procession in your travel plans, check the date for the relevant year.

In August 2026, a relic of the Chapel of Saint Spyridon of Trimythous’s heavenly patron was kept there.
