Comuna Lupeni: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Comuna Lupeni, also known as Farkaslaka, lies in the valley of the Fehér-Nyikó and along Romania's national road 13A. Historic sites, literary memorials, pilgrimage routes and equestrian experiences exist side by side in a diverse local landscape.

Culture
North of the village, near the border with the municipality of Comuna Corund, lies Cetatea Firtoş near Firtuşu, a medieval fortress from the 13th century. Dealul Firtoş is also home to Mănăstirea fortificată de la Firtuşu, a fortified medieval monastery and place of worship from the 13th century. The ruins of the Turnul roman de la Firtuşu – Péterhegyese conceal the remains of a Roman watchtower and signal tower.
The Roman Catholic Church in Lupeni is 47 metres long and 15.80 metres wide and has a 38-metre-high tower. It was built between 1842 and 1848 in the Classical style on the church hill west of the village.
The Tamási Áron Memorial House is the writer's more than 150-year-old birthplace. The building, constructed from hewn wood, has a shingle roof and displays the writer's furniture, personal belongings, manuscripts, works, letters and photographs. The Tamási Áron Monument is a 3-metre-high, 8-tonne work by sculptors Szervátiusz Jenő and Tibor, carved from a rock. It depicts figures from the works “Énekes madár”, “Ördögváltozás Csíkban” and the Ábel trilogy. Tamási Áon's grave is located on the western outskirts of Lupeni, behind the Roman Catholic church and cemetery, in a park rich in flowers.
Routes
The themed Via Transilvanica route passes through the Harghita County municipalities of Praid, Atia, Atid, Inlăceni and Lupeni. Via Mariae is a spiritual pilgrimage route that is also open to tourist and sporting use. The section leads from Inlăceni via Firtuşu, Păuleni and Lupeni to Dealu.
Leisure
At Imperiul Poneilor, children can ride and pet ponies. Imperiul Poneilor also includes an exhibition of pony carriages and small animals such as rabbits, chickens, lambs, peacocks, pigeons and pheasants.
The Lófő Equestrian Center in Lupeni offers horseback riding tours, sleigh rides and carriage rides. Horseback riding tours must be booked in advance; a lead time of three to four days is recommended. Depending on the customers' needs, they can last anywhere from one hour to one week.
The Inima Lui Iisus Statue is approximately 22 metres high and made of iron and stainless steel. Inside, visitors can climb the metal spiral staircase up to the head and enjoy the view from above.

The Kotyogó Restaurant in Lupeni bases its cuisine on local traditions and serves Transylvanian classics.
