Burszewo is a village in Poland, in the Warmian–Masurian Voivodeship, Mrągowo County and the Sorkwity Gmina. Around 1440, Burszewo was founded as a Prussian village under feudal law, initially under the name Falkenhaym or Falkenkaym. Historical records mention the following former names for Burszewo: Falkenhayn, Bruβewen, Pruβöwen, Burschöwen, Burschewen and Prußhöfen; the name Burszewo has been used since 1945.

Nature

Burszewo is located in the northern part of Sorkwity Gmina, 12 kilometres from Sorkwity and 17 kilometres from MrÄ…gowo. Storks and their nests are associated with Burszewo as a visitor attraction. Following a severe hailstorm in 2012, their numbers declined; since then, they have been recovering.
