Culture and History

Brodnica Górna is an old knightly settlement that later became a noble settlement. For several centuries, Brodnica Górna was owned by the Kashubian families Lniskis and Ustarbowskis.

The Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Brodnica Górna was separated from the Chmielno parish in 1905. Construction of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Brodnica Górna began on 30 June 1932, based on a design by the engineer P. Cybichowski. The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was consecrated on 7 November 1933.

The annual Kashubian festival Truskawkobranie takes place at the end of June or beginning of July at the foot of the nearby Złota Góra hill.
