Bogacica – Village of Natural Wealth
Accommodation in Bogacica
Bogacica is one of twelve themed villages in the Stobrawa Valley and is known as the “Village of Natural Wealth”. A brick parish church with a Baroque altarpiece, an educational programme run by the Stowarzyszenie Wsi Bogacica “Bogatalanta” association, and a 44-kilometre trail offer different ways to explore the village. There is also a distinctive natural feature nearby. When planning your trip, you can therefore consider whether natural monuments, history or longer trails are of particular interest to you.

Ancient oaks as natural monuments
An avenue of nine pedunculate oaks stands on the road from Bogacica to Nowa Bogacica. The trees are 300 to 400 years old and are protected as natural monuments. The avenue gives the title “Village of Natural Wealth” a tangible point of reference: here, it refers to a specific tree species, a precise number of trees and their great age. Visitors particularly interested in ancient trees and protected nature will find a notable landmark in the village’s surroundings.
Parish church and art history
The Church of the Holy Trinity adds architectural and art history to the nature-related attractions. The brick church was built beside the old church between 1797 and 1805. It has a Baroque altarpiece from the 17th century, which comes from the Franciscan church in Namysłów. The church and the altarpiece therefore date from different centuries. For travellers interested in culture, this distinction is a fascinating detail: at the church, they can learn about a specific construction period and an older work of art with its own story of origin.
An educational programme for different groups
The Stowarzyszenie Wsi Bogacica “Bogatalanta” association has established an educational programme in Bogacica for children, young people, adults, study groups and other interested people. The groups mentioned span several age ranges and explicitly include study groups. The programme complements the church and nature attractions with an insight into the association’s activities. For families interested in educational activities and local community life as part of their trip, this is another distinct aspect of the village.
Trail and river section
The yellow “Szlakiem dawnego rzemiosła i pomników przyrody” trail passes through Bogacica and is 44 kilometres long. Its name alone refers to traditional crafts and natural monuments. Its total length sets it apart from a short visit to individual local attractions: those considering a longer trail as part of their trip can think of Bogacica as one of the places along the route.
A specific section is also described for canoeists. At section 50.4 near Bogacica, four closely spaced low weirs lie in the riverbed below the bridge; canoes must be carried along the right bank. This specific location is therefore worth considering if you are planning a canoe trip there. It differs significantly from the village’s cultural and historical attractions and adds a connection to the river to the range of possible travel interests.
Choosing Bogacica as a holiday destination
When looking for a holiday apartment, you can choose Bogacica based on the themes you want to shape your trip. These differences can help you organise your interests before considering a holiday apartment in Bogacica as a base for planning your holiday.
