Jezioro Dychowskie is an artificial reservoir near Dychów in the municipality of Bobrowice and covers approximately 1 km².

The Dychów reservoir is supplied with water from the Bóbr River via the Dychów Canal.

History

Dychów has a historic water-engineering landscape centred around a hydroelectric power plant, an artificial reservoir and the Dychów Canal. The facility was built mainly between 1932 and 1936.

In the wider regional surroundings of Dychów lies Bomsdorf Village Church. Garbigenberg, Weißer Berg, Eichberg and Groskenberg are also located in this wider regional area.

Orientation

A weir is located in the northern part of the Dychów Canal, before Jezioro Dychowskie. There is also a bridge and lock complex at the point where the canal flows into the reservoir.

Dychów has a railway station on the Lubsko–Krosno Odrzańskie line. A road bridge connects Dychów across the Bóbr with Prądocinek.
