Solinki: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The monument with the eagle in the crown, erected by the residents of Solinki, was built in July and August 1957.

History and Remembrance

Sulinki originated in the 19th century as an estate farm belonging to the Komarno estate. Around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the estate farm was parceled out and the Sulinki settlement was established.

During the Second World War, Solinki was subjected to German reprisals; 30 people were killed in the process. The burial site of the victims of the 1943–1944 pacification operation in Solinki is one of the war graves and war cemeteries from 1957.

Residents, clergy from the surrounding parishes, authorities of the powiat and the municipalities of Konstantynów and Leśna Podlaska, as well as primary schools with flag detachments, take part in the patriotic memorial ceremonies held annually in autumn in Solinki. Every year, the memorial ceremonies include a solemn Mass commemorating the residents executed in 1943–1944, as well as the traditional gathering at the local monument, where flowers are laid and candles are lit.

The Góra Uszeście hill lies in the wider regional vicinity of Sulinki.

Cycling

The “Z Serpelic do Białej Podlaskiej” road cycling route passes through Solinki and is 32 km long.
