The Church of St. Anthony: architectural history and features

The Gothic Church of St. Anthony of Padua dates from the 15th century and was remodelled in the 18th century. Its single-nave layout and centrally aligned tower define the structure. The tower’s initially square plan transitions to an octagon, topped by a Baroque spire. Different styles and periods thus come together in one building.

The interior furnishings also reveal this rich mix: the church contains a Gothic baptismal font from 1490, a Baroque altar, a pulpit and several sculptures. The two-bay presbytery has a rib-vaulted ceiling. Outside, there are four Renaissance epitaphs.
