Landscape and notable heights

A notable landmark is Fajna Ryba. At 347 metres above sea level, it is the highest natural elevation in Radomsko County and in the Łódź Voivodeship. It is located in the municipality of Przedbórz. Przedbórz Landscape Park extends across parts of Radomsko, Włoszczowa, Końskie and Kielce counties. In its part within Radomsko County, it covers the municipalities of Przedbórz, Wielgomłyny, Masłowice and Żytno.

Protected landscapes include, above all, natural areas in the Pilica Valley and the valleys of its tributaries, extensive forest and pine forest complexes, and Jurassic and Cretaceous hills. These features give the region a clear connection to nature: river valleys, forest areas and elevations shape its range of routes.

Routes on foot, by bike and on the water

The 39-kilometre Yellow Royal Hunts Trail leads from Przedbórz to Krasocin via Jabłonna, Brzostek, Góra Czerwony Kamień, Góra Fajna Ryba, Góra Kozłowa, Dojo Stara Wieś, Żeleźnica and Oleszno. It runs over the highest elevations of Przedbórz Landscape Park. Those interested in the hills will find a specific route here, linking several named places.

The Red Trail offers a different experience. It begins at Majowa Góra and continues through Przedbórz, the town park and the old town to Wierzchlas. It then runs through Piskorzeniec Nature Reserve, over Góra Krzemycza, through Murawy Dobromierskie Nature Reserve, and via Borowa, Góry Mokre, Góry Suche–Fajna Ryba and Góra Kozłowa. The town park and old town feature alongside several nature reserves and hills along this route.

The mode of travel can also be a factor in your choice. An approximately 25-kilometre kayaking route in Radomsko County passes through Maluszyn, Ciemiętniki, Bobrowniki, Krzętów, Biały Brzeg and Przedbórz. The Pilica Valley Trail in the county can be used for hiking, cycling, horse riding and cross-country skiing. This makes it possible to consider a specific kayaking route and a trail designed for several activities as different options for active days.

Culture and regional cuisine in Przedbórz

The Folk Museum in Przedbórz features a peasant room furnished in the style of the 19th century. Its furnishings include a chimney, a stove with a bench, a working loom, and old tools and furniture from the Przedbórz area. Another exhibition highlights vanishing crafts such as saddlery, shoemaking, timber construction, basketry, sieve-making and pottery. Przedbórz Town Hall was built between 1838 and 1840 in the Neoclassical style.

Regional dishes are another point of interest: Przedbórski kugiel and Radomszczańska zalewajka are among the regional dishes of Radomsko County. You can swim at the supervised waterside areas in Zakrzówek Szlachecki and Przedbórz, and hire pedal boats or kayaks.
