Siostrów can be discovered through three distinct approaches: the historical traces in Dominikowice, park and landscape areas, and a cycling route. This means that travel planning can include not only individual sights, but also different ways of structuring each day.

Culture and History

A notable point of reference is the manor park in Dominikowice. It dates from the beginning of the 19th century and covers approximately 2.00 ha. It is included in Zone B for the partial protection of preserved historical elements and is also part of the voivodeship’s heritage register. The existing park landscape with its mature trees and the historical spatial layout are protected.

The park and the archaeological sites create different focal points: the park preserves a historical design in situ, while the evidence at Dominikowice 5 and 7 tells of earlier settlements. Together, they do not represent a single period, but rather a coexistence of park history and archaeological traces. This combination makes the area’s various cultural points of reference particularly visible.

The archaeological evidence complements the park with several clearly distinguishable periods. At Dominikowice 5, a Przeworsk culture settlement from the Roman Imperial period and a Polish settlement site from the 17th and 18th centuries have been identified. At Dominikowice 7, there is a Lusatian culture settlement from Hallstatt period C–D, a settlement trace from the Late Middle Ages, and likewise a Polish settlement site from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Landscape

Within a limited area, the manor park preserves the connection between mature trees, parkland and the historical layout. A different scale is offered by Wzgórza Tureckie hill, which is located in the wider regional surroundings of Dominikowice. The park and the hill therefore represent different landscape areas that can be considered independently of the archaeological sites.

The forms mentioned can be clearly distinguished from one another: the park is described as a protected historical space, the sites through their settlement evidence, and the castles and historical site through their own destination types. The cycling route, on the other hand, follows a connection between places. In this way, cultural traces, landscape areas and routes remain legible as independent themes.

Surroundings and Routes

The different spatial levels are helpful for classifying the destinations: Uniejów Castle is located in the immediate surroundings of Dominikowice. In the wider regional surroundings are the castle “Rossoszyca -Pałac XIX w.”, the castle “Besiekiery -Ruiny zamku rycerskiego” and the historical site “Extermination camp Chelmno / Kulmhof”. The different places and destination types have varying spatial relationships with Dominikowice.

The transport connection can also be described specifically. Municipal road No. 111021 E connects Dominikowice with Balin and Lipnica. When selecting individual excursion directions, these places and the destinations mentioned can be incorporated separately into your travel planning.

You can also include Karnice as another place in your travel planning.

Cycling Route

The cycling route “Noworoczna - Łęg Piekarski, Jezioro Jeziorsko, Uniejów” offers another perspective. It runs from Borzewisko via Dominikowice to Uniejów, thereby connecting several named places along a continuous route. This allows cycling to be considered separately from the park, settlement traces and castles.
