Wooden Church and Chapel
The wooden Church of the Holy Spirit in Podstolice was built in 1870 on the site of an older church. Three 18th-century altars come from that predecessor building. The church therefore brings together two periods: the 1870 building and the older furnishings transferred from the previous church.
The Chapel of St Florian stands in a square beside the parish Church of the Holy Spirit. A life-size sandstone statue of the saint stands on its tall, faceted plinth. This creates a different impression from the altars in the wooden church: here, the eye is drawn to a single figure and its distinctive plinth. Together, the two buildings offer culture-minded travellers different details to focus on.
Cycling Route Through Podstolice
The green cycling route passes through Podstolice and connects Wieliczka, Grabówki, Siercza, Janowice and Sygneczów on a circular route back to Wieliczka. Anyone wanting to include several places in a cycling tour will find a different option here from an outing focused on a single building. The historic wooden church in Podstolice is worth a detour from the cycling route. The route also passes a chapel founded in 1872 by Agnieszka and Mateusz Chlebdowie. Before setting off, check the current route markings on site, as they may change.
Skiing and Snowboarding
Podstolice-Ski offers another way to shape your stay. Its three slopes are designed for skiers and snowboarders with different ability levels. Your ability level is therefore an important factor in planning. Podstolice-Ski has two Tatrapoma lifts: one is 350 metres long and covers an elevation difference of 65 metres; the other is 200 metres long and covers an elevation difference of 30 metres.
The “Fun School” ski and snowboard school operates at the ski station. If you include skiing or snowboarding in your holiday plans, you can match your interests to the slopes for different ability levels and the lift specifications. Facilities, operators and availability may change, so check the details with the operator before travelling.

A dated note applies to Zamek Żupny and its courtyard: on 8 September 2026, both were closed for renovation work; the work is expected to continue until the end of 2028. Check their visitor status again before planning a visit.
