Murzasichle combines winter activities, a named hiking route and a distinctive church building. The village borders Tatra National Park to the east and south. This raises a practical question for planning your trip: should your stay focus mainly on ski slopes and snow tubing, a hike or architectural history? If you are looking for a holiday apartment, you can choose where to stay based on the experiences that matter to you on vacation.

Park Border and Hiking Route

A hiking route leads from Murzasichle along the border of Tatra National Park to Psia Trawka. The named locations give the tour a clear focus: it starts in Murzasichle at the park border and ends at Psia Trawka. This makes the route a different option for planning your day than the winter facilities. Check local trail conditions before setting out.

Winter Activities at MURZASICHLE SKI

The MURZASICHLE SKI winter complex has six drag lifts. The slopes are between 180 and 350 m long and have varying levels of difficulty. Length and difficulty offer two different points of reference when assessing the winter activities: the slopes are not all the same length, and their difficulty varies too. They are covered with artificial snow, and the complex is also lit in the evenings. Operating hours and conditions may vary seasonally, so it is worth checking the current situation before your visit.

Snow Tubing for Children and Adults

Another seasonal winter activity at MURZASICHLE SKI is a snow tubing run about 200 m long. It runs through a specially prepared snow channel and is suitable for children and adults. In addition to the slopes, the winter complex therefore offers two different types of activity: downhill runs with varying levels of difficulty or snow tubing on a run of approximately fixed length. The explicit statement that it is suitable for children and adults makes this activity especially appealing to families planning a vacation for different age groups.

A Church with a Precise Design and Construction Period

The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary – Queen of the World in Murzasichle is a three-nave, three-bay pseudo-basilica. It was designed by the architect Józef Łukaszczyk “Tady” from Murzasichle and built between 1954 and 1957. The technical terms describe its form more precisely: “three-nave” refers to a central nave with two side aisles, while “three-bay” describes its division into three bays. A pseudo-basilica is a basilica-like church form without a separate window zone above the side aisles. For architecture enthusiasts, this brings together a clearly defined architectural form, a named designer and a precisely specified construction period.
