Castle history and architecture

Nowy Wiśnicz Castle is a stronghold of the Kmita and Lubomirski families and is considered one of the most significant examples of early Baroque residential and defensive architecture in Poland. According to historical sources, it was built in the second half of the 14th century. The fortress is a four-wing structure with a courtyard and four towers.
