Kopervik combines a harbour area for maritime traffic with a pedestrianised shopping street. At the same time, the wooden-house district of Treborg, historic buildings and works of art tell the story of the town’s development. Treborg is Kopervik’s oldest and best-preserved wooden-house district. One specific historical landmark is Gamleskolen, a school building dating from 1779 in Kopervik’s cultural environment. A bust of Magnus Haaland stands in Magnus Haalands plass, in front of the house where he grew up. On Hovedgaten, at Magnus Gjertsens plass, a bust commemorates Magnus Gjertsen, a local painter from Kopervik.

Another work of art is “Havet og vinden”: the sculpture was commissioned as an artistic feature for the new town hall in Kopervik and installed in 1986.
