One detail also visibly connects the church with its surroundings: the cemetery lies on one side, while the apple orchards of Haslum Gård surround it on the other. The oldest surviving memento of the church is thought to be a round stone with a small hole in the middle. It is said to have formed the base of the first baptismal font. This cautious account makes the stone a different kind of historical clue from the dated bell.

Other Sides of Bærum
