Since 1988, Museum Buren & Oranje has been located in the centuries-old, listed town hall on the Markt in Buren. On 8 July 1551, the Sint Lambertuskerk was the site of the marriage between the only daughter and heiress of Maximiliaan van Egmont-Buren and Willem van Oranje-Nassau. The Koninklijk Weeshuis in Buren was founded by a deed of endowment dated 26 May 1612.

Buren Synagogue is located in the oldest part of Buren, on the Kniphoek, and is part of the “Muurhuizen”, which were built against the town wall. It serves as a cultural venue for exhibitions, lectures, craft demonstrations and workshops.

The Prins van Oranje is a round stone tower mill with a gallery in Buren. It was built in 1716 as a corn mill, replacing an earlier post mill on the same site.
