Terschuur can be discovered through traditional crafts, games, historical details and a small-scale landscape. Several traditional crafts are demonstrated live every week at the Oude Ambachten & Speelgoed Museum; between Terschuur and Zwartebroek, narrow plots, strips of woodland and waterways shape the peat reclamation landscapes. The combination of demonstrated crafts, toys and a small-scale landscape offers different ways of exploring Terschuur, from historical work processes to a clearly defined hiking route.

Several traditional crafts are demonstrated live every week at the Oude Ambachten & Speelgoed Museum. The demonstrations make traditional work visible as an ongoing process; historical building and mill details provide further tangible traces of earlier work processes.

The toy museum at the Oude Ambachten & Speelgoed Museum includes a play area as well as various old Dutch games and toys for children. The Oude Ambachten & Speelgoed Museum also includes the Oud Hollands Spellenplein in the outdoor area. The Happy Hopper at De HappyFarm was designed by the farm itself and adds to the location's various experiential details. The old Dutch games complement the craft demonstrations with historical play activities, while the Oud Hollands Spellenplein extends this theme into the museum's outdoor area.

Historical building and mill details are also part of the picture. The 't Tweel farmhouse was built in the Gooise country-house style based on a 1927 design by the architects E. and F.J. VERSCHUYL from Hilversum. The Gooise country-house style gives the farmhouse a distinct architectural character, while the slide in the mill points to a practical work process. Under the stairs of Den Olden Florus / Kallenbroeker Molen is a slide that was used to quickly move sacks of flour downwards. On Saturdays, visitors could visit Den Olden Florus and its associated mill shop.

Landscape between Terschuur and Zwartebroek

The peat reclamation landscapes between Terschuur and Zwartebroek consist of narrow plots separated by strips of woodland, rectangular wooded areas and waterways. The Klompenpad Terbroeksepad is an 11-kilometre hiking route through the surroundings of Terschuur and Zwartebroek. The length of 11 kilometres gives the hiking theme a fixed framework. This means the route can be considered a separate part of the planning alongside the cultural sites.
