Tušina: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Tušina is home to the Memorial Museum in the House of Novica Cerović, a 19th-century building. It preserves a fully intact room interior, as well as the decorations and medals of Montenegro’s first honorary ban.
Culture
The House of Novica Cerović is located next to the Boan–Šavnik road, near St. George’s Church. Three kilometres from Tušina is Podmalinsko Monastery, dedicated to the Archangel Michael. According to tradition, it was founded around 1252 by King Uroš I; restoration has been underway since 1998. The churchyard contains the grave of Mirko Aleksić, a prominent hero of Drobnjak.
Nature
The hosts of the household in Tušina can show visitors hidden waterfalls and natural pools. The household also offers swimming in the Bukovica River. The wider Šavnik area is described as a landscape with more than 20 mountain and hiking trails leading through river and canyon landscapes to viewpoints, lakes, and mountain peaks.
Cuisine
The Ćirović household produces homemade rakija, juices, jams, and liqueurs from fruit grown on its property. Tea harvested there is dried and offered to visitors for tasting in summer. The household can also organise a tour to a nearby pond, where freshly caught fish is prepared together.
Geographical Location
The section of the Virak–Tušina road is part of the R-5 corridor, which connects Nikšić, Šavnik, Tušinja, and Žabljak.
