Culture and History

The “Old Turkish town” marks the site where Ali Pasha Čengić built the fortified town of Kolašin in 1651. Barutana is a historic gunpowder mill on Vinića Hill, built in the second half of the 19th century. From Barutana, there are views of Kolašin, the Tara River, and the surrounding area.

Kolašin can be reached by train, bus, or car. The Belgrade–Bar railway line serves Kolašin; the town’s railway station is 1.5 km from the town centre.
