Churches, Filanda and museum

The Chiesa di San Bartolomeo Apostolo was built in the Tuscan classical style in the first half of the 19th century. On either side of the entrance portal, statues of Saint John the Baptist and Saint Bartholomew stand in two façade niches.

The Filanda Romanin-Jacur was built by Leone Romanin-Jacur in 1872. It is a historic silk factory with a central building containing the machinery and spinning room, as well as two side wings with porticos. Only the rooms housing the museum are open to the public.

The Museo della Filanda di Salzano offers an immersive, multisensory experience in which you can directly experience the work carried out in the historic Filanda. It also provides facilitated access for people with disabilities. The Museo San Pio X is a parish museum in Salzano dedicated to the life and work of Pope Pius X, Giuseppe Sarto. Sarto was parish priest of Salzano from 1867 to 1875. The Museo San Pio X is considered free of architectural barriers.

Parkland and sacred traces

Parco Romanin-Jacur is a 48,000-square-metre romantic park. Canals, raised areas of terrain, grottoes, paths and dense vegetation shape its design. It was created in 1854 at the request of the new owners, the Jacur family, as a park surrounding the villa.

The church of the Oratorio di San Francesco dates from 1684. Ca' Contarini and the Oratorio di San Francesco form a 17th-century building complex. The Santuario di Robegano is the parish church of Robegano and is dedicated to the Beata Vergine delle Grazie; at the same time, it is a pilgrimage destination for people from throughout the province. The Oratorio della Roata is located on the road to Mirano and originally began as a small tabernacle dating from 1568, featuring a depiction of the Virgin and Child. The Oratorio di Ca' Bozza originally stood next to the 17th-century villa of the Marchesi Bozza.

Nature experiences and practical information

Oasi Lycaena is a Natura 2000 site recognized both as a special conservation area and as a special protection area for birds. It provides a habitat for numerous bird species, including the black-crowned night heron, little bittern, kingfisher, little egret and herons. It is also home to protected species such as the great crested newt, the European pond turtle and the rare large copper butterfly Lycaena dispar. Oasi Lycaena is scheduled to be open from 5 July 2026 on the first and third Sunday of every month, from 09:00 to 18:00.
