Torre Carbonifera is a 19th-century tower. Its name refers to its function as a commercial landing place. The railway ending at Torre Carbonifera transported coal from the mines of Montebamboli to the sea. In addition to its landscape, the coast therefore also has a historical dimension: the tower, railway and coal transport tell the story of a connection between the hinterland and the coast.

Another focal point is the Circolo Nautico Carbonifera. It has approximately 319 berths for boats measuring 6.5 to 8 metres in length. Berths in the water and on land can be rented there for periods of varying length. The Circolo Nautico Carbonifera offers parking spaces, a crane, a slipway, drinking water and electricity at the quay. It offers members and non-members berths or a secure mooring for their boats. In 1970, a refuge for small boats was established at the mouth of the Fosso Valnera, protected by the reef.
