Beach, history and island experiences

Innamorata combines a striking coastal landscape with traces of mining and special experiences on the water. The Spiaggia dell’Innamorata is approximately 280 metres long and has dark sand. Next to it lies the small Punta delle Ciarpe beach, where traces of mining can still be seen. If you are looking for a holiday apartment in Innamorata, you will find a place where the coast, history and active exploration can be combined.

Mining history on Monte Calamita

The Museo della Vecchia Officina is housed in the workshops of the Cantiere Vallone. It displays original objects and equipment, historical documents and maps relating to the lives of the miners, as well as the history of mining and the area. The combination of working life, landscape and the region’s past gives your stay a tangible historical focus.

The Museo della Vecchia Officina is also the starting point for several trekking routes and guided tours of the mines, beaches and paths of Monte Calamita. This brings different interests together in one place: you can explore the history of mining or discover the landscape on paths and during guided tours.

Cycling and hiking routes with historical connections

The Monte Calamita e Miniere di Capoliveri MTB route passes the turn-off to Spiaggia dell’Innamorata, descends to the sea along the old railway line and continues through the Calone mining area to the Museo della Vecchia Officina. The route combines the coast, a former working landscape and the museum in a single trail.

The Way of the Old Railway follows the former railway line between the Vallone open-cast mining area and the former loading point near Innamorata beach, opposite the Gemini Islands. Its historical character lies directly in the route itself: the former railway line and the former loading point shape the orientation between the mining area and the coast.

Gemini islets and experiences on the water

The Gemini islets near Spiaggia dell’Innamorata are used for excursions. They can be reached by canoe, pedal boat or by swimming. The islets have a seabed rich in marine fauna and attract snorkelling enthusiasts. Alongside hiking and cycling experiences, this creates a separate focus for anyone who wants to discover Innamorata from the water.

Innamorata beach can be reached by MareBus.
