Civezzano combines trails around Lago di Santa Colomba, historic mining excavations, Forte di Civezzano and the protected Le Grave biotope. It also features the Church of Santa Maria Assunta with altarpieces by Jacopo da Bassano, as well as paths through the forests of Fornace and Civezzano.

Sentiero delle Canope at Lago di Santa Colomba

The Sentiero delle Canope begins near Lago di Santa Colomba and follows a circular route. As trail no. 18, it is well signposted, suitable for everyone and can be completed as an easy hike of approximately two hours. The stated time is expressly approximate; it provides guidance for a compact morning hike without specifying an exact duration. The signposting makes it easier to find your way around the circular route.

Along the Sentiero delle Canope, information boards explain the geology, history and lives of the Canòpi. The Canopa delle Acque can be visited on special occasions as part of guided speleological tours.

Forte di Civezzano and Santa Maria Assunta

At Forte di Civezzano, a visitor route leads through four rooms and is accessible both to individual visitors and organised groups. The visitor installation includes multimedia and interactive stations.

The installation helps visitors understand the fort's original military functions and features. The Church of Santa Maria Assunta contains altarpieces by Jacopo da Bassano. Around Lago di Santa Colomba, the area is among those most heavily affected by historic mining excavations. At Lago di Santa Colomba in Civezzano, fishing, trekking and mountain biking meet the traces of historic mining excavations.

Lago di Santa Colomba and Le Grave Biotope

Lago di Santa Colomba is used by anglers as well as trekking and mountain biking enthusiasts. The lake thus remains a point of reference both for spending time by the water and for activities on the trails.

The Le Grave biotope has been a protected area in Civezzano since 1988.

Forest Trails and Figures from Local Legends

The Sentiero di Monte Piano is a family-friendly hike through the forests of Fornace and Civezzano. The trail passes through woodland areas that extend across both municipalities. This provides two distinct types of outing for day planning: a forest trail and a sculpture walk.

Another destination is the Giro degli Gnomi. The circular walk includes 23 wooden sculptures depicting dwarves, forest dwellers and figures from local legends. The motifs combine carved figures with stories from the region.

Guided visits to the Ecomuseo Argentario are available by reservation. The reservation is part of the intended visiting arrangement.
