The Chiesa di S. Maria Assunta was built in the 12th century and completely rebuilt in the 15th century. Its bell tower was erected in the 17th century by Giuseppe Alberti; the entrance hall with wood panelling features frescoes by Antonio Longo. The Chiesa San Sebastiano was built in 1464. Its Gothic bell tower received its battlements in 1829 and is now considered a landmark of Cavalese. During restoration work in 2002, the 19th-century Stations of the Cross by the Cavalese-born painter Carlo Vanzo was also brought back to light there.

Another cultural highlight is the Museo Arte Contemporanea Cavalese. It was established in 2001 in the historic Palazzo Rizzoli in the historic centre of Cavalese and presents temporary group and solo exhibitions throughout the year.
