Holiday apartment in Aldeno – among vineyards, culture and trails
Aldeno is situated in a rural landscape with vineyards and orchards on the eastern slopes of Monte Bondone. The village thus combines nature, trails, buildings and events. When choosing a holiday apartment in Aldeno, you will find various opportunities here for active, cultural and enjoyable days on holiday.
Nature experiences and trails around Aldeno
The Parco Albere public park can be reached from the centre of Aldeno via a footpath along the Torrente Arione. Sport fishing is practised in the municipal area, mainly in Parco delle Albere. The local angling club manages two ponds and a refreshment point there. A walk, a visit to the park and sport fishing are therefore among the concrete activities that Aldeno offers in the open air.
There are several different trail ideas for active days. The „Sentiero Attrezzato delle Stel“ is a circular trail on the slopes of Monte Bondone, accessible from Aldeno. Its equipped sections require via ferrata equipment. The trekking route „Da Aldeno a S. Osvaldo di Garniga Nuova“ begins in Aldeno and initially leads through the surrounding vineyards. It then passes through the green vegetation of the Dossi and reaches Garniga Nuova. Along the route „Da Aldeno alla Chiesetta di Postal“, you will come to an old lime kiln with explanatory signs. The different routes help you organise your daily plans according to your interest in hiking and your desire to discover new places.
Buildings and local history
The buildings also give Aldeno a distinct cultural profile. Castello delle Flecche is one of the buildings in Aldeno that have been declared to be of cultural interest. The parish church of San Modesto was built between 1767 and 1776. It has a single-nave layout and four side chapels, each with a marble altar. Its interior is decorated with colourful stucco and features a Baroque high altar with columns and statues.
The civic tower still stands in the historic town centre. It is the only surviving element of the former church of San Zeno. This church dates from the 16th or 17th century and was demolished in the 18th century.
Events with a regional character
In 2025, the „De Volt en Cort“ festival programme included crafts, activities for children, cuisine and live music. The event „Il Comun Comunale Lagarino“ recalls the medieval territorial administrative unit on the right bank of the Adige in Vallagarina, which included Isera, Nogaredo, Villa Lagarina, Pomarolo, Nomi, Aldeno and Cimone. Aldeno hosts the summer event „Calici di Stelle“, which takes place on the night of Saint Lawrence. Aldeno also hosts the historic event „Mostra dei Merlot d’Italia“.
When choosing a holiday apartment in Aldeno, you can use your desired mix of nature, culture and activities as the basis for deciding on the location. The landscape, trails, buildings and events offer different focal points, without requiring you to limit yourself to just one type of holiday.
