Culture between palmenti and feast days

Palmenti dating from the 12th century BC, carved into the rock, were discovered in the Contrada Scafa di Capo d’Orlando. They were used to press grapes and ferment the must. The palaces Palazzo Milio - Perlongo, Palazzo Piccolo, Palazzo Petrelli and Palazzo Musarra are also located in the surrounding area of Scafa.

The Festa di Maria SS. delle Grazie in Scafa traditionally takes place on the last weekend of July.
