To reach San Paolo, take the SP 15 from the SS 131 near Siamaggiore to Milis; after the town, follow the road toward San Vero Milis and the signs for the cemetery.

Gardens, citrus growing and archaeology

The historic garden of Milis comprises two adjacent sites at the entrance to the town, opposite the Romanesque Church of San Paolo: the Pernis-Vacca citrus grove and the Villaflor Forest. The first citrus plantation, dating back to the 12th century, was located in the Villaflor Forest. Part of the Cobulas–Cuccuru de is Zanas nuraghe complex was reused as a sanctuary for the agricultural deities Demeter and Kore.

Festivals throughout the year

The Milis citrus fruit festival takes place in February. The La Vega Festival takes place in Milis in August and includes traditional dance and music events. In November, the Rassegna dei vini novelli della Sardegna takes place, featuring gastronomic and cultural events.

At the 36th Rassegna Vini di Sardegna, held on November 8 and 9, 2025, a gastronomic event featuring new and organic wines took place in the streets of Milis.
