Since August 1, 2026, the Tower of Chia has been open to the public every day. It can be reached via an easy walk of about ten minutes.

Beaches and trails on the promontory

Cala del Morto can be reached via a short footpath from the car park at the adjacent Porto Campana. Sa Colonia can be reached on foot via a trail that crosses the promontory, crowned by a tower and covered with Mediterranean scrub; at its foot lie the ruins of the 8th-century BC Phoenician city of Bithia. Sa Colonia is a large beach with soft, white-amber-colored sand, crystal-clear emerald-green water and a seabed that slopes gently toward the open sea. The two destinations therefore represent different ways of experiencing the coastal area: one via a short access route from a car park, the other via a trail connected to the landscape and its history.

Spartivento Lagoon

Behind Su Giudeu Beach lies the Spartivento Lagoon. There, you can observe and photograph pink flamingos, herons and coots. The lagoon expands the range of travel ideas with a specific wildlife-watching experience, allowing you to capture birds in addition to the landscape.
