The Parco Montano dei Tre Denti e del Freidour was established as a regional park of provincial interest under Piedmont Regional Law No. 32 of 8 November 2004. It covers approximately 800 hectares and extends from an elevation of 640 metres to Monte Freidour at 1,445 metres. For travel planning, this difference in elevation opens up various perspectives on a distinctive mountain landscape, without having to treat the experience of nature and a visit to the town as separate activities.

The park’s mammal population includes wild boar, roe deer, chamois, Alpine hare, fox, badger, stone marten, weasel and squirrel. Culture between San Gervasio and Costa

The bell tower of San Gervasio dates from the 9th century and is one of the oldest monuments in the Pinerolese area. The bell tower also contains the remains of a 15th-century fresco depicting the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, attributed to the Master of Cercenasco.

Only remnants of the surrounding walls and a few ruins remain of the Antico Castello della Costa east of the hamlet of Costa. They can be reached via a route of interest both from an art-historical and scenic perspective. The Palazzo della Costa began in the 16th century with a wing built by Guglielmo Bernardino dei Canalis and was expanded in the 18th and 19th centuries. In different ways, both places make Costa’s historical dimension visible.

The Church of Santa Maria della Motta is dedicated to the Feast of the Nativity of Mary and has an elliptical floor plan. After Vicoforte, it is the largest oval church in Piedmont.

Cumiana has a regular bus connection from Turin, Via Sacchi, with services every half hour.
