The Collegiata della Beata Vergine Assunta was built from 1483 onwards and is designed in the Piedmontese Gothic style. Its façade features a Renaissance portal by Matteo Sanmicheli, dated 1534. The furnishings also include an altarpiece dated 1503 and attributed to Hans Clemer. The Cappella Marchionale was completely frescoed around the 15th century. It is designed in the Late Gothic style and has a single nave and a semicircular apse. The chapel is located in the only surviving tower of the former castle of Revello. Guided tours are available by prior reservation. The Abbazia di Santa Maria di Staffarda complex includes an abbey church and a square cloister.

Nature along the Po and bat watching

The Museo Naturalistico del fiume Po is located in the historic centre of Revello, is open to everyone and has a room for film screenings as well as a small educational laboratory. Its geological section displays green stones from the Monviso area, from which valuable jadeite pieces were once extracted. The ZSC “Boschi e colonie di Chirotteri di Staffarda” also extends across Revello and is managed by Parco del Monviso. An infrared monitor allows visitors to observe the bat colony without disturbing it. Every year, around April, approximately 1,200 female bats gather at the Tenuta agricola di Staffarda during the breeding season.

Trails, views and active days out

The trail runs along the old fortified walls and offers views towards Saluzzo. The Campanile delle Ore stands along the Cappelle di Revello trail in an exceptionally panoramic location. The trail also reaches the Cappella di Santa Sofia, where there is a picnic area and a fountain. The 17th-century chapel is surrounded by numerous picnic tables. The Falesia di Santa Lucia is equipped with climbing routes. This makes it possible to include walks, cultural sightseeing, nature observation and climbing experiences in your daily plans in Revello.

Experience Staffarda with a guided tour or audioguide

Guided tours of the Abbazia di Santa Maria di Staffarda are organised by the Associazione Dialogart and must be reserved. Free parking is available in the forecourt in front of the abbey. The Abbazia di Santa Maria di Staffarda can be reached from Saluzzo and Cavour on Granda-Bus route 112.
