Bosco della Giretta is an urban forest in the centre of Settimo Milanese, maintained by volunteers from the Associazione La Risorgiva ETS. It has combined cycling and walking paths for strolling, cycling and running. Access is free. Because the paths accommodate several types of activity, the Bosco can serve as the setting for a walk, a bike ride or a running session in the same natural area.

Parco del Laghetto provides a different green accent. A path runs around the pond, forming a loop. Picnic tables, a solarium, sports facilities and playgrounds complement the park. Punto Parco Bosco della Giretta is located at Via Pastore 7 in an area of particular ecological value. There, wooded areas alternate with extensive clearings. The Punto lies along a route between Cornaredo and Settimo Milanese. The alternation of woodland and open clearings characterises this specific section of the green surroundings.

Historic sites in Settimo Milanese

In the centre of Settimo Milanese stands Palazzo Granaio, a historic 17th-century building. Originally, it was a noble granary, was used for silkworm breeding and served as a wine cellar. Visitors interested in culture encounter a building whose former functions ranged from grain storage and silkworm breeding to wine production.

The Church of Santa Margherita in Settimo Milanese is documented as early as 1153. In 1534, it was rebuilt by the parish priest Fabrizio Balbi.

The Oratorio San Giovanni Battista stands in Cascine Olona. It was built and consecrated by Paolo Mantegazza in 1468. The building was declared a national monument and saved from the tram tracks. Cascine Olona thus extends the historical perspective beyond the centre of Settimo Milanese.
