Holiday apartment in Vernate: Discover history, churches and nature

Vernate combines traces of its Roman past with a waterscape, churches and historic buildings. The main settlement lies on a decumanus of the ancient Roman centuriation. The work on Maria Assunta between 1569 and 1597 belongs to a different historical phase from Sant'Eufemia's elevation to parish church status in 1637.
